Frequently asked questions
What exactly is osmosis cleaning?
Pure water cleaning uses water with a very low mineral content, produced through reverse osmosis and/or deionisation. Suitable brushes loosen dirt, which is rinsed away. On suitable glass and solar panels, this can reduce mineral spotting without added detergents. The result depends on the surface, existing deposits and thorough rinsing.
Why is pure water ideal for glass and facades?
Its low mineral content reduces the risk of limescale marks when water dries. Suitable exterior glass can often be cleaned without detergents. This does not automatically mean that every facade can be cleaned chemically free or will remain clean longer. We select the method after assessing the material and dirt.
How high can surfaces be reached?
Our telescopic systems allow work from ground level: glass and glazed facades up to 19 m; facades, roofs and gutters up to 12 m; downpipes up to 20 m. The achievable height depends on access, the building and safe working conditions. We assess each property before confirming the method.
Is osmosis cleaning safe for solar panels?
Pure water can be suitable for solar modules when the manufacturer’s cleaning instructions are followed. We use suitable soft brushes and adapt water temperature and the cleaning method to the modules and site conditions. Cleaning can remove dirt-related losses; it does not guarantee a particular output or make every installation safe to clean without assessment.
Can pure water clean roofs and stone surfaces?
Yes, where the material and type of dirt allow it. We inspect stone, roofs and facades first and may test a small area. Pure water alone cannot remove every deposit or guarantee protection against algae and moss. Heavy organic growth may require suitable cleaning products and an optional protective treatment.
Is the cleaning process environmentally friendly?
Pure water cleaning can avoid detergents on suitable surfaces. However, runoff contains the dirt removed and is not automatically harmless. Collection and disposal depend on the contamination and the property. If specialist products are needed, we explain this before work begins.
How often should surfaces be cleaned?
Frequency depends on exposure, the surface and the dirt present. As a guide: solar panels every 1–2 years, with checks after calima; residential windows 2–4 times a year and shopfronts more frequently; facades every 2–5 years; roofs and stone every 3–5 years or earlier if organic growth appears. We adapt these intervals to each property. Solar output losses vary; no percentage improvement is guaranteed.
How much water is consumed during cleaning?
Consumption depends on flow rate, surface, soiling and rinsing time. Reverse osmosis production can also generate reject water. We assess water requirements for each job rather than guarantee a fixed amount per square metre. Runoff is managed according to the dirt removed and is not automatically discharged into gardens.
What costs should I expect?
The price depends on the service, area, working height, access and soiling. We prepare an individual quote after reviewing your details or inspecting the property. Calculator prices are indicative and non-binding. Send photos, the location, approximate area and required service by WhatsApp to +49 176 72301500. Operations on Gran Canaria are scheduled to begin on 1 October 2027.
